I knew about HubPages for a long time but couldn’t find time and an action plan to use this high quality article sharing network where you can put your ads (Yeah, we get 60% of all page impressions, thus revenue generating) and more importantly free quality backlinks. The advantage of HubPages is that search engines trust the pages and give high rankings. Since I compete on many technology related keywords it was essential for me to get backlinks.

So, it is the day to start a 50 articles product campaign on several technology items. I plant to write two hubs each day. I will reveal my traffic and revenue (Amazon sales) at the end of this month for the experiment (It doesn’t include Google Adsense for sure, because it is against their rules). Anyway, here is my first hub : Best iPhone Cases of 2009 and possibly 2010

By the way, HubPages network has a very effective affiliate program as well where you can earn affiliate revenue in 2 ways.

1. You get referral’s 10% of all lifetime impressions on their hubs.
2. This one is interesting. Even if you don’t write anything, you can put your affiliate links in settings. Then, if you give a link to another person’s hub, you can get up to 12% of their traffic impression revenue after someone clicks on the link you put for 120 minutes. A quite effective way of earning money promoting other people as well.

I have discovered two free tools to achieve this. First one is LinkedTube to put any affiliate link of your choice to embedded youtube videos. Actually, Google Adsense is already there for most publishers, but it is quite different. We have all the control what will be shown on the surface of youtube videos. If you are a video blogger or using videos heavily in content, why not to try this affiliate link embedding tool and see the results yourself.

The code has a tiny bug that it includes the same object code twice. Anway, I think you can clean it using HTML editor in your wordpress easily. By the time I write this, they will most probably fix this issue.

The second one is BubbleFly. It is a free affiliate code embedding widget again but it seems to be rather old and didn’t work for me.

I couldn’t find any other free websites especially designed achiving this task. Let me know if you know more?

I would like to give you a real keyword example how you could use Google Insights for Search and Google Trends to predict your further income resources.

This is especially important in Affiliate Marketing. You can target your Adwords ads and blog posts according to data from these sources.

I have made several searches for “invisible shield” keyword (A popular skin for electronic devices, especially best selling for iPhone) in Google Insights :

The first image shows the results from 2004 to present. Notice the big jump in 2008 when Zagg revealed Invisible Shield model for iPhone 3G. It was an obvious thing actually. The affiliates who were ready to promote new product earned lots of money. A basic scenario could be creating a mail list about iPhone 3G and sending emails to them reminding about the new skin release. Most would buy with closed eyes.

I was thinking that most searches would come from US. To my surprise, Hong Kong and Singapore was at the top. Since I don’t know their languages I don’t think I can get a benefit from this fact except empty information

And, look at the following graph of Top Searched and Rising Searches. You can target these top searched keywords in your blog review posts. All Rising Searches sections were a breakout for this keyword during this period.

Now, let’s look a bit closer for 2009 and US.

We have discovered the most active cities for this search. You could start a local blog targeting the top cities.

And what about the hot breakout keywords of 2009 worldwide and US

First, worldwide to take advantage of our Adsense ads on blog pages

Voowww, did you notice the +4950% breakout for “invisible shield 5800″? If you will look closely to this keyword you will notice that unusually Spain has dominated the ranks. So, what about making a fast one page Spanish affiliate site and grab the searches for Adwords campaign. You should further check in Google Adwords how many searches are being made for this keywords in Spain. I checked that it is mostly US for other keywords.

And finally, for US to sell them as an affiliate

The top keyword is “zagg discount code”. Zagg is the manufacturer company for this product.

If you join this data with the Google Adwords keywords to find the number of estimated searches for a month and Google Search Results to find competition, you will have most accurate predictions on what topic to invest your time and energy. Please note that it is just a very fast keyword trends hunting review. You should check more comprehensively than this.

The most common problem for novice affiliate marketers is finding enough traffic to convert the offers. The common offers which will pay you serious money for leads and sales are in topics of Credit Cards, Dating, Healthy Foods, Get Quick Rich. Unless you don’t find a free traffic resource, you can’t make money with them. In this post, I will reveal where I make profits with real examples using PPC less known.

I will briefly tell what is CPL (Cost per Lead) and CPS (Cost per Sale) marketing terms for those who are not familiar first. If you are already familiar with the terms you can skip this part and see the real example.

For example let’s explain what CPL is with an example. A dating website can offer free 3 days free trial registration to their potential customers and they advertise this offer through publishers and pay a certain amount of money for each registration to their websites, for dating websites it is typically around $3 to $5. Please be aware that most offers will pay for only US or with the addition of UK, Canada. CPL offers generally are free to register and don’t need credit cards of users.

CPS works almost the same except the visitors pay an amount of typically $1 to $3 with credit cards. For example, one of the popular offers of latest days is on Get Quick Rich with Google niche. Google Monster, Google PayDay, Super Google Rich whatever. For every trial registration you can get up to $35 Sounds good yeah? Actually, if you can drive lots of traffic, you can earn significant amount of money.

You can naturally ask why advertisers are ready to pay such money for publishers. The reason is that most people simply forget about their trial offers duration and after some days these advertisers charge their credit cards with huge amounts.

Anyway, let’s continue how we will achieve profits.

1. Register in Motive Interactive Advent Network. I will appreciate if you register using this link because I will get also small amount of commission from them. I think the information I give for free deserves it.
2. Find Dream Marriage Russian offer which will pay you $3 for each free registration. Russian dating is one of the most popular dating CPLs of all time and converts in  high rates.
3. Then, register for Adchap and start a text advertisement for US and Canada traffic. Eventhough this offer pays for some other EU countries, these registrations will be more valuable to advertiser and they will keep advertising alive. So, both sides will make money
4. That’s it. After around ten conversions you will see that you have spent around $20 on average bringing you $30. If you can make 300 conversions a month, you will have $300 monthly in your pocket as a profit.
5. Additionally, you can try Adtoll advertisements which also works if you choose the right cheap websites to advertise.

By the way, Internet is full of bloggers who don’t earn more than a few hundred dollars and they behave like Affiliate Marketing Gurus by writing mambo-jambo copycat posts. I am not a Guru of something, just earning small amount of money (several thousands of dollars a month) from affiliate marketing and try to share real experiences with you.
